As you know I am currently organizing our second Halloween event here and I have made use of our event mascot, Marvin the Mummy, and Facebook to host some charity auctions.
https://www.facebook.com/Marvin.Raises.Cash The first auction is already on and has started well but we need many more people to be involved from anywhere in the world. Between now and Halloween we will be putting up many cool Geocaching items for auction and 100% of what is raised will go to the Lions Charity. The money will be presented to the Lions Club during the event.
We are asking as many people as possible to take part in raising money but if anyone would like to donate something to be auctioned off then we will gratefully accept that as well.

There is also the option to give to the Lions charity without taking part in any of the auctions, just go to the above website and click on the button marked “Laagri Lions Club” and follow the instructions.
The event is going to be amazing with geocachers and muggles from many different countries (I hope) coming together for a spooky fun night of Costumes, Food & Drink, Competitions, Fundraising and the all important Night Cache. We will also be holding Geocaching 101 for those that are interested in joining this great hobby.
Anyone that is in the area is welcome to take part the tickets are on sale and if you are too far away then there are event Trackables and T-shirts already up for pre-sale on the website.

Monsters’ Ball II
Monsters’ Ball II will take place at a location already familiar to us, in Saue district cultural centre on 26th October at 18.00. This year the event is open to muggles as well, so take your family members, friends and dig up relatives if necessary.
After our last event we heard that some of the local people would have liked to participate but Monsters’ Ball was a closed event. This year we welcome anyone who is interested in a fun costume party. Of course, we will introduce geocaching to anyone who is interested in it. We even have space for that in the cultural centre.
About the party itself. We start at 6 o’clock in the evening or you are welcome to come anytime that suits you. There will be a best costume competition with prizes and other fun games. More specific info about games comes closer to the time because we need to know how many people will participate.
This event is organised in coorperation with LC Laagri Lions Klubi and we are supporting one of their charities. There are different ways to give your support.
1. You can send donations to the LC Laagri Lions Klubi via bank transfer, if you wish to do that just ask for bank details from us.
2. You can participate in the auctions taking place on Facebook. All the money raised will be given to the Lions. When we know the exact charity the money is going to, we will let you know as well.

3. You can participate in the Lucky Dip at the event. Price per try is 50 cents and you can win different geostuff and other cool things.
4. You can buy the official event merchandise – t-shirts or signets. 1 euro from each bought item will go to charity.
5. You can donate prizes for our event and that way make the Lucky Dip a bit more lucky:)
Tickets cost 7 euros on pre-sale and 10 at the door, for children between 7-15 years 4 euros on pre-sale and 6 at the door.
Ticket money will be used do make the night a really good night out. It will be spent on making decorations for the event and for the nightcache. Of course, we will offer themed food (the look only, not the taste
); almost unlimited amount of soft drinks including coffee and tea; themed welcoming schnapps; all the necessary dishes for the event and with some luck, we will have live music on the stage for a dance.
But as with most things great events don't come cheap, so the sooner we can raise the funds, the sooner we can get on with the building of props, etc.
We kindly ask everybody that is planning to attend to confirm here and on geocaching.com and also buy your ticket.

The event now has full support from the Garmin Official Representative in Estonia, Jakari Marine OÜ.
They have generously given us not 1, not 2 but 3 Etrex 10's to give away during the event. As well as a Garmin Chirp, made specially for Geocaching.
Considering how many people have logged their "will attends" that works out at one prize each!
Now the summer heat is over it is time to look ahead to Halloween. For a chance to win one of these great prizes or many others you need to log your "will attend" and get your tickets.

Got some huge news for the Monsters' Ball event. I have just confirmed that popular Estonian band Triin Niitoja & John4 have generously agreed to come and perform a set during the evening.
